FOUR BRANCHES OF THE ARCHDIOCESAN EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

I. YOUNG AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST MINISTRY (YACM)

The Young Ambassadors For Christ Ministry (YACM) was constituted as the youth ministry of the parish-rooted prayer communities of the Archdiocese of Manila in June 1993. In April 1999, it was reconstituted as a fourth segment of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement (CCRM) in the Archdiocese by Bishop Teodoro C. Bacani, Jr., D.D. YACM sees itself as Christ's representatives to their fellow youth by providing formation to the youth in the parishes and other youth sectors, through creative forms of evangelization. YACM has participated in activities like the annual Pentecost celebrations and other Archdiocesan-level activities of the CCRM. It is also into Crossroads Retreats, Youth Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminars, and workshops that enhance music, worship, Scriptural knowledge, inter-personal relationships, and youth prayer meetings.

II. FEDERATION OF TRANPAROCHIAL CHARISMATIC COMMUNITIES (FTCC)

There was a time in the Archdiocese of Manila when leadership and areas of concern in the renewal were subdivided according to the already existing territorial ecclesiastical districts in the Church.

As of 1986, there were 398 registered parish-rooted prayer groups in 164 parishes and 80 registered active office prayer groups existing in the Archdiocese of Manila.

Bishop Teodoro C. Bacani, Jr., DD, Auxiliary Bishop of Manila, as Spiritual Director, gathered together on September 2, 1988, through Bro. Willy Nakar, Presiding Elder of the Elim Community, all transparochial prayer groups and covenant communities based in the Archdiocese of Manila to organize them into a kind of a "district" so that they, too, may be properly represented in decision-making and activities of people involved in the Charismatic Movement.

III. ALLIANCE OF PAROCHIAL CHARISMATIC COMMUNITIES

The Alliance of Parochial Charismatic Communities is a mandated organization under the personal stewardship of Episcopal Head Bishop Ted Bacani, Bishop Tom Yalung and Bishop Jess Mercado. It was organized into a separate and distinct group as Parish Rooted Communities presently headed by Bro. Cosme "Jun" L. Tabug, Jr.

Our community implemented the Education Program of the APCC. This was designed and initiated to help the formation of Christian Communities of Disciples in response to the Vision & Mission of the APCC. This involves three (3) processes:

1. The conversion to Christ: we motivate people to attend the Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar & Marriage Encounter which open their mind to the Spirit of the Lord

2. Immersion & Implantation to the Church: Growing in the Spirit Seminars with five modules

3. Formation of the Community of Disciples: we give continuing seminars and workshops to deepen the understanding of the Catholic faith and the members

IV. OFFICE PRAYER COMMUNITY

THE BACKGROUND

Office Prayer Community (OPC) was formed in 1986, with the vision of bringing the Charismatic Renewal to the offices. Various charismatic activities like Life in the Spirit Seminar, prayer meetings, basic Christian maturity and other teachings are being conducted in the workplaces. Through the years, the numbers of communities have multiplied and membership increased, although OPC existed without any legal personality until late 1999 when the group was incorporated as Office Prayer Community Foundation, Inc., headed by Sis. Rose Nocum, with Rev. Fr. Domi Guzman, as the Spiritual Director.

VISION STATEMENT

Renewed Catholic workers, integrating Gospel values in the family, work and society in the quest for wholeness.

MISSION STATEMENT

Called by the Father through Jesus Christ, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, we, the Office Prayer Community members, hereby commit ourselves to propagate Christian values through spiritual formation programs; look after the temporal needs of fellow workers and serve as role models in evangelization.
