SIX FRIENDS, ONE GOD
"For whoever is not against us is for us" - Mark 9: 40
I belong to a barkada of six. Each one is different from the other as day is from
night but the biggest similsrity we have is that we are in love with one person-
Jesus Christ.
Each of our love relationships with Him is unique, in that He addresses our concerns,
heals our woundedness, and wins our battles on an individual and personal level. The
timing varies as well, so that one friend can be struggling now, while another can be
victorious. We agree that, while we are imperfect friends to one another, only Jesus
can be the Perfect Friend to each one.
What amazes me is how He can be consistently loving and faithful, given that the
six of us have different religions. But that doesn't stop Him from loving each one
completely and selflessly to the point of His death. Only the Lord can love personally
yet universally. Tisha P.

REFLECTION:
Are there days
when you doubt
His faithfulness?
Confess your
uncertainty
and expect
to receive
His loving
assurance.
Lord, thank You
for being the
Friend and God
that You are.
You are
everything to me
at all times.
St. Romanus
the Melodist,
pray for us.
