LOVE DECIDES
...complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing. - Philippians 2: 2

I have been at odds with my sister since we were young. She finds me moody. I find her bossy. Even if we both entered the renewal, we still find ourselves grinding teeth on what the other said or did. We had to share one house, one office building and even one community. Our personalities just clash. We do not get along. It was an accepted fact.

When we argue, I always come face to face with two doors. One that says LOVE ME and the other that says HATE ME. Choosing to love has always been the best option although not the easiest. Not only do we both come out winners, but also nobody else gets defeated (except Satan).

Time and again, we find ourselves deciding which door. Jesus would always choose the door where the Father awaits. Duds D.

Philippians 2:1-4
Psalm 131:1-3
Luke 14:12-14

REFLECTION:
Love is not just a function of the emotions but the decision of the will.

Lord, always help me to choose the path less traveled, the one where You are the Prize.

St.Barlaam of
Khutyn, abbot,
pray for us.
