PRAY ANYWAY
Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones. - Revelation 5: 8

An eight-year-old girl once heard her parents praying for a buyer for their piece of land. At once, she bought a balloon and tied its string to a letter she wrote and released it to the air. It went up high and higher until it disappeared from the distance. As she looked up in the sky, she clasped her hand in prayer and hoped that it would reach heaven fast and that God would take time to answer it. She continued praying for it daily even in her dreams. Not until after two weeks, her prayer was answered. Her mother was rejoicing because someone had bought their piece of land.

God is pleased when we pray. He takes delight in sincere, humble and childlike faith prayers of His people. Our prayers are like beautiful music playing when we thank and praise Him for everything. It's like a sweet whisper to God's ears when we ask and pray for blessings in our life. But our prayers become more real and even more beautiful when we don't feel like praying but pray anyway. It's at these moments when our prayers matter most to Him and like an incense, it becomes a sweet-smelling offering that reaches His throne room, touching His heart.Veron D.

REFLECTION:
You will never be so mature a Christian to ignore prayer.

Would you
please listen to the prayers of a tired Christian, Lord- Give us this day our daily bread.
