SEE YOU IN HEAVEN
"I am the resurrection and the life" - John 11:25

Pictures of bygone years, treasured memories of the past.

I often saw grandpa assist grandma take her pill and carefully tuck the bed cover around her body , guarded by a smile and watchful eyes. Daytime, they walked hand in hand reminiscing about every bit of their fond memories together. But, it had to come, the dreaded day of leaving one behind.

It's too much to let go of a day, if she can only be with him in the grave.. I kissed her goodnight and made effort to give her a comforting hug. It's as if I'd opened the floodgates. She burst and whispered in a very subtle voice, "I'm longing for his kiss. All throughout our life together, he always kissed me goodnight. Now I'll let go, I wish to be with hire in heaven."

Indeed, life's a constant change. We live and outgrow our past, work and strive for the present, and, with high hopes and spirit, we look towards the future. For the Lord Himself has made a lasting promise of never ever leaving us behind. He may have allowed drastic changes and pains of separation, but, at each passing day, He loves refilling back our strength, and then a new hope awakens. CheChe S.

REFLECTION:
Honor your dear departed by living an upright Christian life.

Lord, help me go on amid pain of losing someone I love, for only in Your hands lie eternal life.

bishop and
martyr,
pray for us.
