THE END OF THE WORLD?
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. -Mark 13: 31

August 1999. A major earthquake struck Turkey measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale with the death toll reaching thousands. A similar earthquake hit Costa Rica and China. The Philippines experienced days of flooding, the worst in decades. The same phenomenon hit Vietnam and otherAsian countries. Are these the signs of the times?

Time and again, we'll continue to come across people who are great believers of the "end days" taking place anytime soon. If this should pose a threat to our peaceful existence again, let's find comfort in God's promise in Philippians 4:6-7 "Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. " The Lord in His perfect wisdom knows when the appointed time will be. He knows what is best for all of us. Between now and then, let us keep our trust in Him. Mari SG

REFLECTION:
Whenever we feel anxious about the end days, open your Bible and find peace in God's promises. His Word endures forever.

Lord, fill me with
Your love and peace that I may spend this day to the fullest, just knowing, loving and serving You.
