YOU ARE WELCOME
...welcome him as you would me. - Philemon 17

We've known this couple for almost six years in our Charismatic community. Despite this companionship, however, we still didn't know what to expect when they invited us to spend part of our vacation in their L.A. home.

Our apprehension quickly disappeared on the very first day of our stay. First of all, they insisted that we use their van instead of a rented car. This immediately signaled their unconditional trust in us. The kitchen easily became a favorite hangout area where Trina, our daughter, cooked her special "katsudon" recipe. They'd always plan the day's activity based on what we wanted to do. A warm welcome clearly marked our entire visit.

We had a taste of a genuine Christian community and the special kind of fellowship among its members. We left with a contagious feeling of wanting to share our Christian love the way we ourselves received it from the Ignacio family that summer. Mari SG

REFLECTION:
Have you ever
shared your home with relatives, neighbors or friends lately?

Lord, thank You, for the gift of community, where we are able to experience love from others.

St.Eucherius,
of Lyons, bishop,
pray for us.
