THE CLIMBING FAMILY
"... let us climb the LORD'S mountain, to the house of the God..."-Isaiah 2:3

He was unique even among the cutest, the richest and the brightest lot. Amid the external trappings of a man, it was his pure and simple heart that was hard to ignore.

And so I gave my heart away to this man and took him to be my husband exactly 22 years ago today. But it wasn't only a question of finding the right man. Just like any married couple, Raul and I have our share of ups and downs. It was the marriage encounter weekend which we attended at the Bukas Loob sa Diyos Community that changed our lives forever. At that time, we both decided to put the Lord in the center of our marriage.

Today, our life wraps around knowing , loving and serving the Lord. Together with our children, Peevee and Trina, our priorities are clear-cut: God frist, family second and work or school life next. We try to use the Word of God as the guiding voice in our home. Whenever we can, we settle conflicts with a dialogue and a prayer for God's wisdom, love and peace to reign in our heart. We don't always succeed in every situation but we know we'll win the race in time. "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved." (Acts 16: 31) Mari SG

Isaiah 2: 1-5
Psalm 122: 1-4, 8-9
Matthew 8: 5-11

REFLECTION:
Today, ask yourself how committed you are in climbing the Lord's mountain. Then look at your family and ask the
same question. Be grateful for those times.

Lord, thank You for blessing our marriage and for keeping our family together as we struggle to follow You.

St. Bernard
