A CHRISTMAS
HOMECOMING

...the river of life-giving water...flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. - Revelation 22:1

Last December 14, 1995, my grandmother's aneurism ruptured and she was given three days to live. She was like a mother to me since she took care of me when I was three months old. Two days after, my mother informed me that my grandmother's kidneys were no longer functioning. I prayed, "Lord, distance is not a hindrance to Your healing her." In my heart, I wanted to pray over her and I did as soon as I arrived in Bacolod the next day.

Despite the fact she was in excruciating pain, my grandmother still joined us in prayer. She requested God to lessen the pain and leave some for her to bear. After an hour, her kidneys began to function again. The doctor told us the internal bleeding had miraculously stopped as though there was a finger stopping the leak on the wall of a dam.

To me, it was the Lord saying, "My daughter, your faith has healed your grandmother." God gave her seven more days to live and a chance for me to take good care of her. She joined our Lord on Christmas Day. She has Jesus, we have Jesus. Yam R.

REFLECTION:
Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

You will always be my bright, burning candle in the night.
